Prof. Asoc. Dr. Llambi Prendi serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business at the University “Aleksandër Moisiu” in Durrës, and is a lecturer in the Department of Economic Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tirana, as well as a Master of Science in Business Administration and a PhD in Economic Sciences from the University “Aleksandër Moisiu.”
In addition to his academic career, Prof. Prendi brings substantial professional experience from the private sector, having held senior positions including Brand Manager at Century 21 and Vice Director at Abissnet. He has also contributed in governance and oversight capacities, including service as a member of supervisory boards such as the Tirana Stock Exchange and FAF sh.a.
Within the Faculty of Business, he teaches core and advanced courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics at the undergraduate level, and delivers graduate-level instruction in Managerial Economics and the Economics of World Crises. Through his academic leadership and extensive industry background, Prof. Prendi continues to support the advancement of high-quality economic education and research at the University “Aleksandër Moisiu,” Durrës.
Florin Aliu currently serves as a Assistant Professor at the University for Business and Technology. He earned his PhD from Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He has been recognized as a Reviewer Winner at the 2024 Emerald Literati Awards, Winner at the 2025 Emerald Literati Awards, a recipient of the Central Bank of Kosovo 2017 Young Economists Award, and a recipient of the Best Paper Award at two international conferences.
His academic focus is on cryptocurrencies, exchange rates, and stock markets. He has published in journals including Finance Research Letters, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, Borsa Istanbul Review, Journal of Risk Finance, Studies in Economics and Finance, and the Baltic Journal of Management. Moreover, he is authors of the book Bitcoin as and Infectious Disease.
